NOTE 02 / STUDY PLANS
The Sunday plan that keeps my semester calm
A weekly reset built around energy, deadlines, and room to think.
English
ORIGINAL NOTEMy semester becomes stressful when I only react to the next urgent task. A Sunday plan helps me step back before the week begins. It is not a strict timetable for every hour. Instead, it is a short weekly reset that helps me see my deadlines, protect my energy, and leave some space for unexpected work.
Every Sunday, I spend about thirty minutes checking my course sites, calendar, and notes. First, I list every task due in the next two weeks. Next, I choose the three most important outcomes for the coming week. They might be finishing a reading, drafting one report section, or preparing for a presentation. Keeping the list short makes it more realistic.
| Check | What I plan |
|---|---|
| Deadlines | Due dates, submission requirements, and tasks that need an early start |
| Energy | Hard work during my best study hours and lighter tasks when I am tired |
| Buffer time | One or two empty study blocks for delays, questions, or rest |
| Review | Ten minutes on Friday to adjust the plan rather than abandon it |
I also plan according to energy, not only available time. For me, reading difficult articles and writing arguments work better in the morning. I save email, formatting, and file organisation for later in the day. This small change makes the plan feel more human and easier to follow.
Most importantly, I deliberately leave empty blocks in the week. A reading may take longer than expected, a group member may reply late, or I may simply need rest. Without buffer time, one delay can make the entire plan feel like a failure. With it, I can adapt calmly. My Sunday plan does not remove every busy moment, but it gives me a clearer and kinder way to manage the semester.

CHINESE VERSION
